What to bring on your summer vacation

I used to love backpacking to Europe in summer when I was young. Therefore, I have quite a few tips in my pocket when it comes to what to bring, where to get them from and how to pack them to keep the weight down. If you are also an experienced traveler or a backpacker, I think you would agree with me when I say it’s best to travel light, as light as possible to be frank. I’ve seen so many “expects” on the internet who would teach you how to define what are essential vs desired items you should bring along when you pack, and they go on and on with a list. To me, many summer vacation packing lists available online are aimed at mid-range travelers only. If you just buy anything they said you will need, you would end up spending loads of money that you just don’t have to in the first place.
Instead, one should always come up with their own packing lists according to their destination, weather, personal needs etc. There are items that appear on many packing lists are just not necessary in my opinions. Take Mosquito coils as an example, they appear almost on every single summer packing list, to me, it’s not like the price of masquito coils vary that much in different countries and you could get them anywhere off the bat, so why bother? In light of what to buy for your summer vacation, I highly recommend you to just shop for yourself and stay away those template-like packing lists! Personally, I usaully go to shopwiki to research on the must-have items I need to bring along in my summer vacations such as sunglasses, outdoor accessories and sun protection products. Their buying guides are just something that you won’t regret reading for the tons of useful information they provide for free.
